Mayan Palace Acapulco Golf Course
This Golf course is seen by many people as one of the world’s most beautiful
courses.
Mainly because of the place where the Mayan Palace Acapulco Golf Course is situated: between the Pacific Ocean and
the Sierra Madre Mountains.
It is not the easiest of Golf courses; on every other hole you will find a minimum of two
bunkers!
The view on this Acapulco golf course is really gorgeous: you will enjoy the blue lagoons, and the fairways
are lined with beautiful palmtrees.
Fairmont Acapulco Princess Golf Course
The designer of this Acapulco Mexico golf course, Ted Robinson, did a great job which resulted in exciting greens and fairways, which are not so
wide as you may be used to!
Again the greens are lined by palm trees and on 12 holes you will find water hazards.
The best known hole of the Acapulco Princess Golf Course is the 18th, it even is mentioned in the Golf
Digest's Top 25 Golf Resorts!
It is a dog-leg par 4 around a big lake.
You have to hit the 2nd shot over the hotel’s pyramid structure.

The Fairmont Pierre Marques Acapulco Golf Course has invested more than 3 million dollars to improve their
golf course, by now the final phase of their extensive renovation program is completed, supervised by world-renowned golf
designer Robert Trent Jones Jr.
Improvements to this Acapulco golf course include: new greens of Seashore Paspalum grass,
new, high-tech double ended practice facilities and the expansion and contouring of lakes.
All these improvements reflect the Jones' legacy and made this Acapulco golf course one of the best of its kind!
This Acapulco golf course was originally designed by Percy Clifford, and remodeled by Robert Trent Jones Sr. for the
1982 World Cup Championship.
With the redesign of 65 sand bunkers, and additional 300 yards in length, Jones placed a premium on
accuracy from the tee, and precise shots into the well guarded greens.
As testament to the challenge created, the winning individual score for the golf
tournament was just 3 under par.
